Woodside Petroleum Ltd., operator of the A$13 billion ($11.8 billion) Pluto liquefied natural gas project in Western Australia, says it made a discovery during drilling to find fuel for an expansion of the venture.

Gas has been found in the Noblige-1 well over a gross interval of about 300 meters, Woodside said in a statement to the Australian stock exchange today.
